The Artist

A lifelong artist in every sense, Gharios has been immersed in both the fine and performing arts since childhood. His great-grandfather, the British-Brazilian maestro Rodolfo Walvy Jr., recognized his innate talent when the toddler effortlessly sketched swans on his lap, declaring, “This boy will be an artist.” By age nine, Gharios was formally trained in painting, sculpture, and engraving by his godmother, the celebrated jurist and artist Judge Dinorah da Silva Porto. He further refined his craft under masters like Ronaldo Autuori and has practiced Sho-Dō—Japanese artistic calligraphy—since 1997. His visual artworks, including ancestral portraits, are featured in his award-winning book Middle East: The Secret History.

Simultaneously, Gharios pursued a dynamic career in the performing arts. Mentored by Professor Armando Maranhão, a pioneer of Brazilian Comedy Theater, he was classically trained in Greek and Shakespearean drama and began directing theater professionally in 1994.

Also a musician, he founded the rock/blues band The TommyGuns in 1996.

In film and television, he boasts over 400 credits as a producer, director, actor, and writer, collaborating with stars like Steven Seagal and serving as assistant director and stunt coordinator for the U.S. film Power Play (2001). He wrote and starred in several hit comedy shows in Brazil—including A Hora do Mico and the cult radio program Boa Noite Cinderela—and later hosted and produced nearly 100 episodes of VIP Show across Brazil and the United States.

Gharios has co-written music videos, executive-produced award-winning short films, and served on the boards of prestigious festivals such as the Monaco and Asian World Film Festivals. In 2021, he received the AOF Icon Award and was inducted into the World Martial Arts Grandmasters Hall of Fame.

Wrote, directed, hosted, and produced three documentaries: The Christian Kings of the Middle East (2019), The Project (2019), and The Royal Legacy (2022)

A proud member of SAG and SATED, he is the founder and CEO of Tyche-Fortuna Enterprises, an entertainment and marketing firm with global reach.
